Ever wondered how Montessori Math materials are used? Center Grove Montessori School is hosting a “Walk through Montessori Math” on January 24th at 6:30 pm. Come and let us share a few of our beautiful materials and see how they are used by your child (or invite a friend to come and witness). Some for specific operations and many for a multitude of operations! Hope to see you there!

We are with heavy hearts here today at Center Grove Montessori in lieu of the shooting at the school in Connecticut. Please remember that media coverage and adult’s discussions/anxieties can traumatize children that are not directly impacted by a traumatic event. Limit the media coverage you are allowing your children to see and be careful with your actions/discussions around them. If they know about the shooting, don’t hide it from them, let them talk and share their feelings, and be honest. Such a sad day….give them an extra hug tonight.

When: Wednesday, December 19, 2012
5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Where: Center Grove Montessori
Who: Preschool and Elementary Children
(Sorry, we cannot accommodate
infants and toddlers)
Cost: $20 per child – dinner is included
We will be having dinner and a movie for the kids. If time allows, maybe even a craft.
Dinner will be:
Mac & Cheese or Hot Dog
Green beans
Applesauce
Popcorn for the movie

For the next few weeks, we will continue our emphasis on thankfulness and giving to others. We will be collecting new mittens and gloves to donate to a local charity. This is a great opportunity for you and your child to talk about helping others and the joy of giving.
Look for our special clothesline to hang the mittens/gloves on in our reception area. Thank you so much for all your support, CGM has awesome children and parents.
